Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapy, also known as a photofacial, is a non-surgical way to improve the color and texture of your skin. It is highly effective at undoing visible damage caused by sun exposure (photoaging) and evening out your skin tone, helping you achieve a younger, more radiant complexion.
Unlike traditional lasers that use a single wavelength, an IPL device sends out multiple wavelengths of pulsating light. This allows us to target specific pigments in the skin and treat a wide range of skin conditions simultaneously without damaging surrounding tissue, ensuring a quick recovery.

As the handheld IPL device glides across your skin, you will feel light pulses. Most patients tolerate this well, often comparing the sensation to a rubber band snapping against the skin. If you are concerned about discomfort, we can apply a numbing cream 30 to 60 minutes before we begin.
Because IPL is non-invasive, downtime is minimal, but your skin will need some gentle care:
Note: Most patients require a series of 3 to 7 sessions spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart to achieve optimal results. It may take several weeks to notice the full changes in your skin.

While IPL is incredibly safe when performed by a trained technician, it is not for everyone.
You should avoid IPL if you:
Potential Risks & Side Effects:
Though rare, side effects can occur, including mild swelling, blistering, crusting, or temporary changes in skin color. IPL can also occasionally cause hormonal brown spots to flare up. Always contact your dermatologist if you experience severe pain, bleeding, signs of infection, or if you feel unwell after your treatment.
