What is Silhouette Instalift and how does it work?
The Silhouette Instalift is an FDA-cleared technology that provides an immediate facelift effect as well as a regenerative effect for progressive and natural results. Silhouette Instalift works by placing a biodegradable thread and absorbable cones into the subcutaneous fat layer just beneath the skin where the lifting is desired.

Dr. Gaminchi will insert a threaded suture under your skin, then use her aesthetic skill and expertise to lift and reshape the surface of the skin. No incision is required, as the suture is inserted using a fine needle. The lifting effect is immediate and will continue to gradually and naturally restore facial volume. There is almost no downtime, and results last at least 18 months, with many patients reporting more than two years.

In one simple, short office procedure of about 45 minutes, you can walk out looking like you did years ago.

Using biodegradable threads placed deep into the skin with a simple needle, adjusting Dr. Gaminchi can reposition sagging tissue in the mid-face, neck and jowl area to a higher, more youthful position. The results are immediate. The treatment is not painful, and your lift should last about 18 months.
What are the sutures made of and are they safe?
Silhouette InstaLift is made from Polyglycolide/L-lactide (PLGA), which has a long history of use as a well-tolerated, resorbable suture. The suture design was developed by scientists in the USA using reconstructive and aesthetic surgical expertise.
What do the cones do?
The suture acts as scaffolding under the surface of the skin to lift sagging soft tissues. The cones both hold the threads in place and, in time, stimulate the body’s production of collagen to replace depleted facial volume, which diminishes with age.
How much lift can I expect?
Your level of lift is dependent on your level of skin laxity, and the number and location of sutures placed. Dr. Gaminchi will help you determine how many Instalift threads you will need when you are evaluated.
